CEMAC Passport

Due to ongoing administrative procedures, the Embassy of the Republic of Congo in Sweden is currently unable to issue new passports or process renewal requests. All new passports (CEMAC biometric ordinary passports) must now be requested and obtained directly in the Republic of Congo.

It is strongly recommended to renew your passport before it expires, especially for those residing abroad. Since 2015, the CEMAC passport is the only valid travel document for Congolese citizens. For Congolese citizens residing in Sweden or the embassy's countries of juridiction.

The Embassy of the Republic of Congo in Sweden is also unable to issue CEMAC passports extension.

In case of loss or expiration, contact the Consular Section in Washington, DC for a travel document or laissez-passer.
