Ms. IVOUBA née NGANGOUE Nana Rosine Aurélie was appointed, by decree of the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Congo to the Kingdom of Sweden, on February 22, 2023, with jurisdiction over Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Ambassador Nana Rosine Aurélie IVOUBA has extensive experience in journalism, international relations, and conflict mediation.
She has had a long career as an international civil servant within the United Nations system in conflict resolution and strategic communication. As a journalist, she covered significant events in North America, Africa, and Europe and was particularly interested in gender issues and environmental advocacy. She also served as communications advisor to the late President of Botswana, Sir Ketumile Masire, in his position as mediator between the parties to the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
This diverse experience has enriched her understanding of global dynamics and the political and cultural intricacies of the regions she has served. Ambassador Nana Rosine Aurélie IVOUBA holds a Master's degree in Leadership and Development from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, United States, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Techniques from Marien N'gouabi University in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. She is married and the mother of 3 children.
